Marshall Kirksey
Marshall’s dad was an avid wine collector, so Marshall was introduced to
wine at an early age. He began working in the wine shop while completing
his college work. Upon graduation, Marshall chose to follow his passion
and joined the Classic Wineseller full time. He began his introductory
level sommelier training and received his certification from the Court Of
Master Sommeliers in May 2005.
He has a depth of knowledge, including wine regions, history and
methodology. Having traveled to many of the California wine regions, he
has many stories to share about wineries and winemakers.
Marshall’s strong feature is his taste palate.
He samples numerous wines every week and is an expert at culling out the
over-priced wine and picking great tasting inexpensive wines.
